Dressed For SuccessSo you have an awesome magic trick you want to perform onsomebody. You've practiced it thousands of times, perfected itin front of the mirror and now are ready to take your act to thestreets...ok maybe not the streets but to one of your friends orfamily members. But wait....what are you going to wear??? Yousay "What?, who cares what I am wearing?". Let me tell yousomething, image and presentation is everything, it is likegiving your audience the total package. What is the first thingpeople see?? It's you of course, this is your first chance tomake that great first impression on someone before even doingyour magic trick bit.

You may think, I can wear anything to domy magic trick and it will still wow them and you know what, youare probably right, that is if you perform a great magic trick. But you can take that to a whole other level, and that is withyour image. It's like shopping for a car, you first look at thelook of the car, the one that looks better is the one you willcheck out, even though the uglier car may have the same sportsuspension and high powered engine underneath its covers, butyou see what I mean.If you are dressed in just your regular jeans and T-Shirt andperforming tricks, yes you will still probably get greatreactions, but if you stepped up your dress code a bit, believeme, you will leave even a more lasting impression to youraudience. Think about it for a minute....think of all the greatmagicians out there from David Blaine, David Copperfield, LanceBurton, and the list goes on way beyond the people I mentionhere, you have an image in your head when I mention these peopleto you, right??? David Blaine, he wears nothing to fancy but heis usually in a nice black collared shirt and black pants, thatgives him that mysterious look....David Copperfield, alwaysdressed up to the T for his shows. Now I am not saying go outand wear a tux or your best suede suit to perform, but be awareof what your are wearing, it can be the difference from a goodperformance to a great performance..

The Perils of Working From Home

Working from home is absolutely fantastic! I love every second of it. However, before you begin you must be aware of what you're getting yourself into. It's not always sunshine and roses and it's not for everyone.

If you are not a self-motivated individual steer clear of home based businesses. You must, and I do mean MUST, be able to motivate yourself to work (or be associated with individuals who can and will motivate you). It's far too easy to become lax about and put things off until tomorrow.

Eventually, you have too many "tomorrow tasks" piled up, with little hope of completing them in the next month.

Disorganized or not willing to become organized? Forget it! You really do need to have a designated work area and filing system. Otherwise, that paper tiger may eat you alive!

If you are a social individual, be sure to schedule adult social interaction into your day. This can be a designated date night with your spouse, weekly get together with friends...
