Who says the stars don't shine in San Francisco?
Tru, the city's hippest day spa, and the stylish W San Francisco boutique hotel are the exclusive spa and hotel gift partners for NBC's 2004 fall network image campaign.
Each year, networks produce image campaigns to promote the new fall lineup to its affiliates.
For the second year, NBC's On-Air Advertising and Promotion department, known as The NBC Agency, gave gift baskets to the actors as a token of their appreciation.
All the actors, such as long-time Friends' favorite and star of the new sitcom Joey, Matt LeBlanc, and Will & Grace's stylish funny girl Debra Messing, received the gift baskets during the August promotional shoot.
In addition to Tru and the W Hotel, other gifts, such as Fresh candles and body products and DSO Eyewear were included in the gift baskets.
Levi Strauss & Co., a San Francisco icon, contributed a wide range of styles of Levi's? jeans to the gift baskets.
The participating gift partner companies donated all the items. Producer David Landau comments on the idea and the success of the gift baskets. "While the life of actors is glamorous, we often forget about the grueling production schedules that they undertake each season.
A spa and hotel gift seems the perfect way to extend our appreciation to the actors," said Landau, an Emmy-winning producer going into his seventh consecutive NBC image campaign.
"San Francisco is a cosmopolitan city and an easy weekend getaway for many of our actors who live in Southern California.
We chose Tru for its unique spa treatments and modern design, and the W Hotel for its exceptional service and chic style.""Since Tru's opening in July 2003, the spa has been well-received in San Francisco.
Tru has filled a niche in this vibrant and stylish city of providing exceptional spa treatments in a fresh and contemporary environment," said Tru's owner and founder Craig Fossella.
"We are honored to have been selected as a gift partner for NBC's Mondo shoot and believe that the actors will enjoy the Tru spa experience that so many San Franciscans already have embraced." Tru is located at 750 Kearney Street in San Francisco's financial district.
W San Francisco is located at 181 Third Street in the city's SoMa district.
About TruTru is a modern day spa in San Francisco that caters to busy urban professionals.
Unlike other day spas, Tru combines an unparalleled mix of a beautifully designed environment, hand-selected products and effective treatments to deliver the ultimate day spa experience.
Founder Craig Fossella and designer Chris Kofitsas of New World Design Builders created this sleek, modern spa in 2003 as a sophisticated getaway for clients who don't have time for an extensive all-day retreat.
Independently owned and operated, Tru features unique wet body treatments in its signature Tropical Rainforest Room.
Other treatment highlights include the TruTherapy massage, a 75-minute massage that is custom-coordinated to the TruLight color light therapy program.
Tru's complete line of services includes: facials, massages, wet body treatments, manicures, pedicures and waxing.

Assumptions ? The Hidden Sales Killer
Assumptions can kill a sale. In my sales training workshops, I frequently discuss the importance of not making assumptions about a person before, during, or after the sales process. Participants frequently nod and tell me that they NEVER make assumptions. One person (Doug Maquire, www.MaquireMarketing.com) sent me this story of a situation that occurred in a department store he worked in many years ago. "I was the 'young kid' who had signed on to take the 9 month Management Training course for a department store chain.
Sales people were generally assigned specific areas to cover within the store but being a 'management trainee' I had to learn all departments." One day, a rough looking middle aged fellow entered the store. He was dressed in well-worn workpants, work boots, and a soiled red and black plaid shirt just like you'd expect a lumberjack to wear. No one approached him (I guess he didn't look like a good sales prospect)...

12 Ways to Organize Your Laundry
1. Develop a system and follow it consistently. Allow your family one month to adjust to it before you alter it.2. Enlist your family's help. Make each person responsible for transporting their clothing to and from the laundry room.
Even a five-year-old can handle that task.3. Let children help you with the laundry. It's the best way for them to learn.4. Do all your laundry in one day OR do a couple of loads each evening -- whichever works better for you.5. Take the lids off your hampers.
Make it easy to put dirty clothes where they belong.6. Have a hamper in each room. However, if you have enough space, place all hampers in the laundry room. Label them according to wash loads (whites, towels, jeans, dark colors,....). Have each person sort their clothes into the hampers eachnight.
Wash a load whenever a hamper is full enough.7. Teach everyone in the family to make a decision about each piece of clothing as they take it off. There are three options: clean (return...

College Branded Clothing
Ted is a devout OU Sooners fan. Even when he was still in high school he purchased all the college branded OU clothing he could find. Now, he is a freshman at OU and the first home football game is tonight and he must decide what he is going to wear that will work for the game and for the party after the game. He can't come back to the dorm after the game to change and he wants to look his best for two reasons. After the game, he is taking Shelia to the after football game party.
He heads to his closet. In his closet, he has the University of Oklahoma college hooded sweatshirt in dark ash and one in cardinal, which would be perfect because the weather will be on the chilly side this evening, but that won't work for the party afterwards. Other items he has that will keep him warm during the game include the University of Oklahoma college sweatshirt in dark ash, the Oklahoma Sooners signature college sweatshirt in dark ash, the University...
